Again it’s more than a month I have blogged. Helluva lot of things and moments have transpired in my life over this period, more important than what I am writing now. Still, a small chat with my friend a day back made me write this first :)
A friend of mine had got an offer from a big MNC ( far far better with the company he is presently working ) and had put down his papers. The company retained him with a hike in his salary and my friend gave a commitment in return to continue.
After he informed his decision to stay in his current company to the HR of the MNC, the HR revised the offer to very much higher salary along with a long-term onsite opportunity.
Being myself into recruitment previously, the kind of company, the technology he was to work with and the revised offer what he had got, barely anyone would not have picked this. (The revised offer was more like a dream kind of offer for his experience)
Just for the commitment and the words he had given to his present company, he has rejected the offer from the MNC.
People might say thousand things for not picking up the offer. They might chide him. They might call him an emotional fool.

Whatever people say, I personally felt very good about his decision. Very very few people stick to their commitments and values now a days, particularly when it comes to a career opportunity and I am enthralled to have a friend who values his words and commitments more than the opportunity lying in front of him.
